I know the other pages are all about Europe and bike trips. Possibly a real turn off for most of the fairer sex, so I'll share a little into from an old holiday in Barbados, just for the ladies and showcase something a little different.

The beach has to be Paynes Bay Beach in St James Parish on the West Coast of Barbados. It's just a slice of heaven.

When I was in Barbados, little did I know that I was on the beach on the Island that a very famous lady signer hailed from, as in the island itself. See the picture below. Anyway on the same trip a famous World Champion Formula 1 driver from English Lewis Hamilton, just happened to be there. Even though he is English and from Stevenage he then claimed he is from Barbados. Oh dear, his father was born in Grenada and his Mother was from England.

“Every day in Barbados is paradise. Don't mind the rain it's 35c and HOT. The rain passes quickly, and please drink the coconut water it's simply amazing.”

Yes it's none other than Barbados's famous girl Rihanna. Now one of the wealthiest women in the world worth over 1 billion US dollars. Well done Rihanna, you are amazing.

Paynes Bay Beach

You can see the turtles lay their eggs late at night as they make their way up the shoreline, something I was so lucky to see. Also, if you are extremely lucky you will see a hatching where up to 200 to 300 baby turtles, perfect in every way, carbon copies of their mother and father, come crawling out of their nest and head towards the sea. They are led only by moonlight, and driven by their desire to reach the ocean. Only the sound of the gentle lapping waves against the sand and a cool breeze rustling the coconut trees above. Yet the crabs await their feast. These poor defenceless creatures defy all the odds.

There is so much more to your holiday. get out and explore. I highly recommend the warm Caribbean as somewhere to consider as an alternative to Spain, Italy or Portugal.
